A How to For You

Since someone wanted to know desperately how I changed Facebook’s colors and added the hidden items to it, I decided to create a how to

First you need Firefox, if you don’t have it I think you have been living under a rock but here is the link http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Second, you need to get an addon for Firefox called Greasemonkey

  • This allows you to edit scripts for certain websites
  • But for this you only need 2

The first is Facebook App Hider

  • This lets you pick which apps you want to see and what you don’t
  • All you have to do is click install this script on the right side and it’s installed!

Next is Facebook Custom Color

  • This is slightly more complicated, but just slightly
  • Again click install this script on the right side
  • Then go to facebook.com and go up to Tools on your menubar at the top of the Firefox browser, go down to Greasemonkey ->, then to User Script Commands -> and it should give you the option to pick 2 colors for facebook.
    • For this step, you MUST be on the facebook homepage.

And that’s it!

My new Facebook Look

Yea so Vince helped introduce me into this world of tech, but I think I’ve gotten some good uses out of it especially this for facebook. Without further ado here are the pics
